3M VentureClad Insulation Jacketing System 1577CW is used for cladding and jacketing applications and creates a vapor barrier for HVAC, ductwork, vessels and pipes.
This conformable tape is able to conform to a curved or irregular surface. It offers zero permeability, installs without special tools and is puncture and tear resistant - ideal for any indoor or outdoor task.
This laminate tape can withstand temperatures as cold as -40 F/-40 C and as hot as 300 F/149 C. Its suitable for use on materials like

The tape has a silver aluminum exterior that provides an attractive aesthetic for cladding that is visible when finished. It is puncture and tear-resistant and meets UL 723 requirements for flame and smoke spread. The backing is flexible, making it easy to conform to curved and irregular surfaces. This tape is a cladding option for 3M™ Interam™ Endothermic Mat E-5A-4 and meets ULI709 Standards - UL Design Number BYBU.XR202. It meets or exceeds most building code requirements and is an excellent choice for insulation jacketing.
Adheres in Cold TemperaturesThe 3M™ VentureClad™ Insulation Jacketing Tape 1577CW features an aggressive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that bonds and seals well in cold temperatures. It adheres immediately on contact to a variety of materials such as fiberglass, faced fiberglass insulation, mineral wool, polystyrene, and flexible aerogel. It applies easily at temperatures as cold as -10°F/-23°C and can operate at a service temperature as low as -94°F/-70°C and as high as 300°F/149°C. Once bonded, this tape provides good holding power for extended periods with good aging properties and resists lifting and curling over time.
This product is used to protect insulation against UV, ozone, high humidity, salt spray, weather, oil and grease, aggressive chemicals, impact and mechanical abuse, corrosion under insulation (CUI), and moisture vapor intrusion. It works well with many insulation types and qualifies for compliance credit for LEED®.
