3M offers a recommended solution for relief against nuisance levels of organic vapor and acid gases. Nuisance level organic vapor and acid gas refers to concentrations that do not exceed the OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Please note that this product is not NIOSH-approved for organic vapors or acid gases, except for hydrogen fluoride. Therefore, it should not be used for respiratory protection against organic vapors or acid gases.
This cartridge/filter is NIOSH approved and provides the highest level of protection against both oil and non-oil based particles. It is designed to be used with 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series, which have a bayonet-style filter/cartridge connection. Additionally, it can be used with 3M Scott AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal facepieces by using the 3M Scott AV-632 Bayonet Adapter.
