Can this belt be used for wet sanding or only dry sanding?
While it can be used for both types of sanding applications, we generally recommend using it for dry sanding as that allows it to provide maximum effectiveness which in turn ensures longer belt life.

Is there any concern about rust forming after use if water gets onto my sander platform while I am using these belts?
. Not at all! This product does not leave residue when put into contact with water. Its special coating prevents rust formation from taking place on your sander/dimension saw’s surface.

Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral that provides high cut-rate and long life. While silicon carbide breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish.
An Alternative for Wheels and DiscsBelt sanders are used for rapid grinding, sanding and finishing on a variety of surfaces.
