This one-part primer is ideal for touching up minor pinchweld scratches and can be used to prime encapsulated glass. It is also suitable as a blackout primer to help protect against UV rays.     The package contains 30 mL (1 fl oz) of the primer, and comes with six units per case.

    This primer can be used for various substrates such as metal, aluminum galvanized steel, SMC/Fiberglass, cured E-coat. However, it is important to follow recommended surface preparation procedures before applying.

3M™ Single Step Primer 08682 is a specialized primer designed to enhance the adhesion of urethane adhesive/sealants to windshields and other automotive glass applications. This primer is formulated to promote strong bonding between the adhesive/sealant and the glass surface.

This one-part primer is particularly useful for repairing minor pinchweld scratches and can also be used as a primer for encapsulated glass. It provides an excellent base for the adhesive/sealant to adhere to, ensuring a secure and long-lasting bond.

In addition to its adhesive properties, 3M™ Single Step Primer 08682 can also serve as a blackout primer, offering protection against harmful UV rays. This feature helps to prevent damage and discoloration caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

To apply the primer, we recommend using 3M™ Urethane Primer Daubers PN 08688. These daubers are specifically designed for easy and precise application of the primer, ensuring an even coating and optimal adhesion.
