Product Description: 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip Resistant Tapes and Treads Series 500
The 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip Resistant Tapes and Treads Series 500 is a high-friction, slip-resistant material that has a special aluminum backing that conforms around corners and adheres to irregular surfaces. The highly durable white surface is suitable to be printed, making it perfect for diamond grade safety plates, steps, and ladder rungs, as well as heavy equipment and vehicles. This product is available in custom sizes and with custom adhesives.
The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) has certified the 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip Resistant Tapes and Treads Series 500 as providing “high-traction.” NFSI chose a wet static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of greater than 0.60 as the criteria for “high traction” because floor surfaces maintaining this level of slip resistance when wet have proven to reduce slip-and-fall claims by between 50% and 90%.
