Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Disc D5 is five discs of strong, durable cut and polish web on a 1/4" shank that provides coverage on larger areas, irregular/contoured surfaces, bar grates, louvers, vents, and tracks. The Cut and Polish Disc is engineered to produce satin or high-luster finishes, cleaning, or light deburring on a variety of metals.

The Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Disc D5 uses a durable, non-woven, open-web construction that is load resistant, runs cool, and provides conformability. The disc uses aluminum oxide abrasives that work to deliver consistent cutting action. The 1/4" shank is suitable for power tools with a 1/4" drive, die grinders, and inline sanders.

Aluminum oxide abrasive is a popular choice among industrial professionals due to its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is tough and durable, self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges during use. Traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention. It is suitable for use on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are a unique surface conditioning product with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibers.
