Product Description:

Our NIOSH approved acid gas respirator filters are designed to provide protection against certain acid gases. These filters can be used with our 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series, which feature a bayonet-style filter/cartridge connection. They can also be used with our 3M Scott AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal facepieces when used with the 3M Scott AV-632 Bayonet Adapter.

It is important to note that respirators help protect against specific airborne contaminants. Before using our acid gas filters, it is crucial for the wearer to thoroughly read and understand the User Instructions provided with the product packaging. Additionally, it is essential to follow all local regulations regarding respiratory protection.

In the United States, it is mandatory to implement a written respiratory protection program that meets all the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. This includes training, fit testing, and medical evaluation. In Canada, the use of our acid gas filters must comply with CSA standards Z94.4 requirements and/or the requirements of the applicable jurisdiction.

Misuse of our acid gas filters can have serious consequences, including sickness or death. To ensure correct use, it is recommended to consult a supervisor, refer to the User Instructions, or contact our 3M Personal Safety Division (PSD) Technical Service in the U.S.A. at 1-800-243-4630 or in Canada at 1-800-267-4414.
