3M Repulpable Flying Splice Tape 906B is designed for flying splices at the off-machine coater (OMC) in paper mills. This tape is furnished on an easy-release, semi-bleached repulpable paper liner.

  • High tack, high shear strength adhesive for flying splice and core starting applications
  • Completely repulpable construction so no need to remove splice from waste: meets or exceeds TAPPI UM-213, procedure A

This specialized tape measures 3 mil (0.075 mm) in thickness and features a distinctive blue color. The construction consists of lightweight tissue that has been carefully coated on both sides with a sophisticated high-tack, high-shear-strength repulpable adhesive system, all mounted on a repulpable easy-release paper liner that facilitates smooth application. The tape demonstrates remarkable thermal stability, maintaining its performance integrity at temperatures reaching up to 400°F (204°C), making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Prevents Broke Contamination from Non-Repulpable Splice Material

3M™ Repulpable Tape 906B is not recommended for finished roll splices or applications where oozing and bleeding of adhesive may occur.
