3M Bare Metal Seam Sealer is a tough, flexible sealing material formulated for sealing bare metal joints, such as steel or aluminum, as well as primed or painted metal in collision repair. Two part, self mixing epoxy sealer can be easily caulked, tooled or brushed into seams and cures in as little as 15 minutes. It features a neutral beige color.

    The 3M™ Bare-Metal Seam Sealer, 58310, Beige, is a one-part sealer that effectively seals primed or painted metal seams to prevent moisture and other corrosive elements from penetrating.

  2. How much does each cartridge of the sealer contain?

    Each DMS Cartridge contains 600 mL of seam sealer. And you get four cartridges per case.

  3. Is this product difficult to apply?

    No. It comes with easy-to-follow application instructions and can be applied easily using most standard caulking guns which allow for more precise control during the application process.

A Tough, Durable Seam Sealer…

3M™ Bare-Metal Seam Sealer is a heavy-bodied sealer that forms a durable seal to overlapping sheet metal with no shrinkage, cracking or outgassing. It is formulated specifically to adhere consistently to properly prepared bare metal, such as steel or aluminum enclosures, in collision repair. The sealer is non-sagging and non-flowing, making it easy to apply and tool to shape, for the most effective seal and to recreate the OEM seal appearance. It also contains chemical corrosion inhibitors to help prevent rust. This sealer cures in as little as 15 minutes for efficient shop time, and is fully paintable using any automotive paint system. Its neutral beige color can make painting easier and require fewer coats vs. a darker-colored sealer.

This sealer dispenses from a dual-syringe cartridge – it accurately self-mixes to deliver the strength and adhesion of a two-part epoxy system without the added time and guesswork of mixing. You get the right mix ratio for individual jobs, and consistent strength and cure speed every time. 3M™ Bare-Metal Seam Sealer can be caulked with 3M™ OEM Seam Sealer Tips including 08201, 08202, 08203, 08204 and 08205. It can also be used effectively on primed or painted metal surfaces.
