It has a thin polyester carrier with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that offers a balance of high initial adhesion and good holding power. This tape offers excellent temperature performance in various applications. It can perform well up to 300°F/149°C in the short term, and up to 260°F/127°C for days or weeks. However, results may vary depending on machine and web tensions, line speeds, nature of paper surface and application pressure. It adheres well to kraft and coated papers, and is commonly used for high performance splicing on paper, films and other continuous web processes. Notably, this product is offered in two colors clear and red. The red version can be used for visible splicing applications.
