It is a versatile attachment option that can replace a wide range of closures such as zippers, screws, snaps, hooks, and more. The fastener features a woven loop backing that is covered with thousands of soft, pliable napped loops, allowing for thousands of openings and closings (cycles). This loop fastener is commonly used with 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522, but it can also engage with other 3M™ Hook Fasteners. Both the hook and the corresponding loop are preshrunk to ensure stability and flatness.

The backing of 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Loop Fastener SJ3523 is coated with a plasticizer resistant acrylic-based pressure sensitive adhesive.
