3M Tape 62 is a 4 mil thick, PTFE film backing, electrical tape. This printable tape is suitable for use on high temperature coils, wire harnesses and capacitors. The thermosetting, silicone adhesive on the flame retardant tape offers optimized adherence in areas of high ambient temperatures. This tape withstands a temperature range of 32 to 356 F (0 to 180 C).

    The 3M™ PTFE Film Electrical Tape 62 can withstand temperatures up to 400°F (204°C).

  2. Is this tape resistant to chemicals and moisture?

    Yes, it is. The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film backing of the tape provides excellent resistance against a wide range of chemicals and moisture.

  3. Can this tape be used for high voltage insulation applications?

    Absolutely! This tape has excellent dielectric properties and can be used for primary electrical insulation in various applications, including high-voltage coil wrap, capacitor wrap, ground insulation, end sealing wires/cables/connectors among other uses.
