Mixed Ceramic AbrasiveCloth Belt 907E is engineered using 3M™ ceramic grain, which enhances the toughness and hardness of the mineral. Ceramic blend products feature aluminum oxide blended with ceramic grain for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Ceramic abrasives are perfect for stock removal, as they are engineered to fracture frequently for a super-fast cut and can handle heat and stress applications. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making this cloth an excellent choice for refining, dimensioning, stock removal, scale removal, stroke sanding, and small weld leveling.
Heat Resistant and Fast CuttingThis cloth also uses a resin bonding that is specially designed to resist thermal and chemical deterioration that can occur during sanding. This bond is very tough and excellent for precision work on all types of metals. It allows for faster sanding and a higher cut rate. To further protect heat-sensitive alloys from stress cracks and discoloration, a grinding aid is incorporated to help reduce running temperatures. The closed coat construction features a dense spread of abrasive grains across the surface of the cloth. This design cuts fast, is ideal for deburring or producing a grain pattern, and provides a consistent, fine finish.
