PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What is the purpose of 3M's 1345 EMI Shielding Tape?

The primary use of this product is to provide reliable and durable EMI/RFI shielding for electrical components.

  2. How does the tin-plated copper foil enhance the tape's performance?

The tin plating increases corrosion resistance, as well as provides better solderability and conduction compared to an un-plated copper shield.

  3. Can you tell me more about the adhesive used on this tape?

Certainly! The acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive has high tack and excellent conductivity, making it perfect for adhering well to a variety of surfaces.

3M™ EMI Shielding Tape 1345 has an embossed, deadsoft, copper foil backing with a pressure sensitive, acrylic adhesive that ensures firm adherence.

The tape's foil backing is coated with tin on both sides, which offers outstanding solderability and is resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The copper foil backing of the tape also provides excellent resistance against oxidation and discoloration.

When the embossed backing edges cut through the adhesive layer, contact between the backing and the application substrate is established. The tape can withstand a wide temperature range of 40 to 266 °F (40 to 130 °C).

This flame retardant tape is designed for grounding and EMI shielding in equipment, components, and shielded rooms. It is UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
