The 3M Speedglas Welding Helmet 9100 with Auto Darkening Filter (ADF) 9100XXi is a versatile helmet that can be used for various welding processes including MMAW, TIG, MIG, Tack, Plasma, and arc welding. This helmet is equipped with the 9100XXi auto darkening filter (ADF), which offers improved color recognition and peripheral vision compared to other models. With this enhanced vision, welders can focus better on welding setup, technique, precision grinding, and inspection of completed welds.

The 9100XXi features 3M Speedglas Natural Color Technology, which provides a lighter, brighter, and more realistic view of the weld puddle. This technology helps welders achieve better control over the weld puddle, resulting in high-quality welds. The helmet has three arc detection sensors in the lens that quickly activate the auto darkening filter as soon as an arc is struck.

The helmet offers selectable dark shades ranging from 5 to 13, with a light shade of 3. It has a viewing area of 72 mm X 107 mm, providing a clear and wide field of vision. The 3M Speedglas Silver Front Panel 9100XXi houses external controls, allowing easy access to the grinding and memory modes without the need to remove safety gloves.
