-
For what type of applications can I use this product?
This product works great for deburring, cleaning, blending, finishing, polishing metals as well as composites. It's an ideal solution for removing scratches or achieving grain finishes on stainless steel flat surfaces/keyway grooves/gear profiles/turbine blades etc.
-
Why should I choose Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ EXL Unitized Wheel TS over other similar products available in the market?
With its unique open web construction design and consistent cutting power throughout its life, it creates less heat buildup during operation making it perfect to use on softer metal alloys. Furthermore, the quick-change system offered by our exclusive TR+ attachment allows you to attach/remove discs easily without using any tools which saves time & effort during application processes thereby reducing downtime considerably.
EXL Unitized Wheel is a high-quality product that is perfect for weld polishing, deburring aircraft parts, or blending and finishing on a variety of metals, plastics, and composites. The wheel is manufactured with compressed, non-woven fiber construction and uniform grain distribution, which ensures consistent, professional results.
The EXL material is available in different densities, with higher densities being extremely tough and delivering aggressive cutting power for effective deburring of edges and corners without damaging the part. The lower densities are soft and conformable, making them ideal for finishing contoured surfaces. The wheel also features the 3M™ Roloc™ Quick Release System, which allows for quick and easy disc changes. Available grades include Fine, Medium, and Course.
3M™ Roloc™ quick change discs are smaller discs that can be easily and quickly attached onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately). This allows for convenient disc changes to accommodate different tasks or multi-step finishing processes. The Roloc system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products are developed with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. This combination creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
