Clean and Finish the Smarter Way

Abrasives made from Scotch-Brite™ Roll 96 are designed to take on a wide variety of light, non-delicate, abrasive applications. They are commonly used as hand pads for cleaning common kitchen items, but can also be effective in metal surface preparation and finishing in disc or belt form. The abrasive grains are bonded to the nylon fibers using a resilient resin bond, creating an abrasive that is effective at removing surface irregularities and debris without scratching or damaging the surface.

Aluminum Oxide Abrasive

Scotch-Brite™ Roll 96 is filled with fine grade aluminum oxide, a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. The aluminum oxide mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, and delivers consistent performance over a long lifespan. It is widely used for grinding and finishing applications and is suitable for use on a wide variety of materials and surfaces.

The Scotch-Brite™ Advantage

Scotch-Brite™ cleaning and finishing products are developed with abrasives incorporated into nonwoven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The nylon webbing material is load resistant to keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the abrasive.
