PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What is the size and quantity of Scotch-Brite Roloc High Strength Disc?

The size of each disc is 2 inches. This product comes in a box containing 50 discs, and there are 4 boxes per case for a total of 200 discs.

  2. What is the grit type for this HS-DR Fine Grade Scotch-Brite disc?

The abrasive material used on this disc is aluminum oxide (A/O) - it's extremely durable and designed to provide a fine finish while still being tough enough for heavy-duty applications.

  3. . Is this compatible with any particular tool or attachment mechanism?

. Yes! This specific Scotch-Brite Roloc High Strength Disc includes the TSM attachment system which fits easily onto your air-powered die grinder or drill using only one screw, allowing you to quickly change out different grades as needed without even leaving your work station.

  4. . Can I use these high strength discs on other surfaces besides metals that will hold up during use?

These discs have been manufactured specifically for metal working applications like weld grinding, deburring or removing paint but also suitable for non metal substrates such as plastics etc when more intense surface treatment required but may not be ideal alongside delicate surfaces like wood where proper care must be taken while carrying out cleaning/action.

Scotch-Brite™ Roloc High Strength Disc is a versatile product that provides consistent finishing over the life of the disc. The non-woven fibers are designed to provide cool, uniform wear, and the open-web construction resists loading. The no-hole center on some versions allows the use of more of the disc surface as well as quick and easy disc change-out.

The disc contains aluminum oxide abrasive mineral, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals due to its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use. It is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products are developed with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.

3M™ Roloc™ quick change discs are smaller discs that attach easily and quickly onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs to accommodate different tasks or multi-step finishing processes. The Roloc system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. Each disc is also color-coded to identify its grade, making it easy to grab the grade required for different applications.
