3M Disc Kut-Down Discs are used for a variety of collision repair jobs. They feature extremely coarse grades down to 24 grit for effective grinding and include a built-in backing plate that provides durable support and easy adapter attachment. Disc Kut-Down means that as the discs wear, the edges can be trimmed and refreshed so you can keep your discs longer and minimize wasted material.

Tough-Cutting, Uniform Finish

The 3M™ Diamond Polishing PSA Cloth Disc 656WY is designed for grinding and polishing tough materials like ceramics, tungsten and chrome carbides, and composites. With 3,000, 8,000, and 50,000 mesh grades, this disc can achieve a wide range of surface finishes on various hard-to-grind substrates and applications. The flexible, J-weight cloth provides a durable, consistent backing for polishing on and around contoured surfaces.

Use Wet for Finer Finish and Longer Abrasive Life

To achieve optimum results, use this diamond abrasive disc with a coolant. Coolant is a desirable component of diamond polishing because it efficiently cools both the work and the abrasive. Additionally, coolant will remove swarf and prolong abrasive life.

3M designed this diamond abrasive disc with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) to make tool attachment swift and easy. The PSA backing adheres like a sticker, so operators can secure the abrasive to a tool by applying light pressure. Swift tool attachment helps enhance productivity and throughput.
