  1. What is 3M™ Tin-Plated Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape 1183 used for?

3M™ Tin-Plated Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape 1183 is used for electromagnetic shielding and grounding in equipment, components, shielded rooms, and more.

  2. Is this tape easy to apply?

Yes! This tape features a pressure-sensitive adhesive that makes it very easy to apply. It can be easily applied to irregularly shaped objects or surfaces.

  3. How strong is the adhesive on the tape?

The pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive provides a permanent bond between substrates like metals, plastics, and nonwovens. It has an excellent resistance against oxidation and UV radiation that enhances its durability.

  4. Can I use this tape both indoors and outdoors?

Absolutely! The tapes silver coloration allows you better protection against ultraviolet exposure from sunlight than copper foil with lower emissivity. The pure metallic construction proves beneficial not only during indoor usage but also during outdoor jobs as well

  5. Are there any specific conditions required while storing the product?
