This fire barrier pillow expands to form a hard char that tightly seals against flame spread, smoke and toxic gases. 3M also engineered this product to be re-enterable and re-useable for new or retrofit installations.

They provide an efficient solution for cable penetrations caused by installing new services or replacing old ones. The pillows expand up to three times their original size when exposed to heat providing a barrier that prevents flames from spreading.

    Yes! Our FB269 Fire Barrier Pillows are ideal for both retrofit projects as well as new installations on various types of substrates such as drywall partitions, concrete/masonry walls or floors as well as steel stud assemblies.

  3. How can I install them properly?

    Installing our FB269 pillows is easy thanks to its simple design! Simply place them around cables within the opening they're installed into tightly but without voids. Make sure you compress each pillow slightly so there are no gaps between them when side-by-side. Finish off by using sealant material over all sides at interface points with substrates whilst ensuring good contact all round – this will ensure maximum effectiveness during a potential fire hazard situation #CustomerSafetyFirst
