Scotch-Brite Bristle Disc, using ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles, provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the disc. The fast-running disc removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas.

    The Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc BD-ZB is a disc with high-quality ceramic abrasive enclosed in 3M's own plastic bristles for efficient sanding and finishing of metals and other materials.

  2. What are its dimensions?

    The brown BD-ZB model comes with a diameter of 7 inches, a thickness of 7/8 inch, which fits standard angle grinders. It also has an arbor size matching that of most such grinders.

  3. How many discs come in each package?

    Our product contains five discs per case so you can have enough supplies to get started on your projects or replace worn out ones when needed.

Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc is a durable abrasive disc that outlasts wire and other abrasive discs. It is suitable for use on a variety of metals, including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. This versatile product is commonly used in industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications. The flexible bristles remain securely in place during normal use and can achieve the desired finish with light pressure.

These discs use a 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, which is a ceramic mineral that enhances the toughness and hardness of the grain for superior performance. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to fracture frequently, making it more effective than aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability. These ceramic abrasives are ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, as they cut quickly and can handle intense heat and stress applications.

Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products that incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. This combination creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is resistant to clogging, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance levels.
