3M Scotchlok Insulation Displacement Connector 314 provides a dual element connection and moisture resistant seal with a mineral oil based grease. The connector is nylon insulated and used to connect 2 or 3 wires. It is self stripping, flame retardant and moisture resistant.

  • CONNECTS 2-3 WIRES: Blue cap and white body nylon-insulated connector is used to connect 2 or 3 wires
  • BRASS AND TIN CONSTRUCTION: Brass element construction for good conductivity and tin plating for corrosion resistance
  • MULTIPLE GAUGES: Accommodates 22 to 14 AWG solid/stranded
  • COMPLIANCE: UL Listed, CSA Certified and RoHS Compliant
  • Operating temperature 221F (105C) with a 600 volts maximum for building wire, and a 1000 volts maximum for signs, fixtures and luminaires
  • Not recommended for direct underground burial or other submerged applications

    The 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 314-POUCH Pigtail Self-Stripping Connector is a reliable solution for connecting and terminating solid, stranded or flexible wires.

  2. How many units are there in each pouch of the product?

    Each pouch contains 50 connectors that are easy to install and use with no need for specialized tools.

  3. Can this be used on different wire types?

    Definitely! This pigtail self-stripping connector can accommodate a range of wire types including copper/aluminum conductors with various insulation diameters within the range of 22AWG through to14 AWG.

  4. Do you require any extra accessories to make these connections?

    : Not at all. You won't need any soldering skills or special tools to connect your electrical wires; our self-stripping feature avoids the general requirement of manual stripping.

  5. : How do I know if I'm using it correctly?

    A : Once you have identified which wires go together, simply insert the stripped ends into their designated slots on your connector sold in its pack(the plastic part splits adjacently) making sure both sides (wire ends) securely fit into the U-shaped grooves - ensuring they're oriented correctly as per wire size/tyoe - once done give them a gentle push inside until you hear an audible click indicating an electrically sound connection has been established!
