Featuring premium grade aluminum oxide on sturdy cotton backing, our 3M(TM) Cloth Segment 341D is ideal for sanding the outside diameter of cylinders, to remove rough areas and set a grain finish on many different types of metal surfaces. Primarily used for setting the grain on contoured metal parts, it is commonly used to finish large pieces such as carbon steel pipes and stainless steel tanks.

Yes! The slash paper can be used on various types of metals including mild steel, carbon steel, cold rolled steel and aluminum.

Yes - they're rated as XE-weighted grade which indicates that it's an aggressive abrasive grain suited to quickly grind down heavy stock removal applications. They also have a abrasiveness rating (S5) equivalent to a good medium grade honing stone (around 3000 grit)
