The 3M Tack Pad has been developed especially for the automotive aftermarket to remove dirt, lint, dust and sanding particles prior to spraying primers, base coat or clear coat paints. Based on 3Ms non-woven technology, the pads tacky surface picks up dust and the three-dimensional web inside absorbs dust particles. Use it on metal, plastic, fiberglass or wood.

The 3M™ Tack Pad is designed to absorb dust into the pad as it glides across the surface, leaving no surface marks behind. This reduces the need for rework. The conformable pad can reach dust on all surfaces of the workpiece, whether flat, contoured, or grooved. It is compatible with all modern paint systems, including water-based paints, and can even help remove light nibs.

Tacky Fibers Grab Dust From the Workpiece but Won't Leave Hands Sticky

The 3M™ Tack Pad contains a slightly tacky adhesive that is distributed evenly throughout the product. This allows you to use the pad repeatedly with the same efficient results. The adhesive is engineered to pick up dust without leaving any inconvenient adhesive residue on the workpiece or your hands. Additionally, the adhesive will not dry out, ensuring that you get full use of the pad until the adhesive is exhausted.
