3M Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 560 is a moisture-curing sealant that forms flexible, weather-resistant bonds. This single-component adhesive bonds dissimilar materials including plastics, sheet molding compound, aluminum, steel, coated metal, and wood in temperatures ranging from -40 F (-40 C) to 194 F (90 C). Polyurethane sealants perform well in challenging industrial, transportation, and construction settings by creating durable elastomeric bonds that seal against the elements. To keep the job moving,

  • HIGH-STRENGTH BONDING: Made to replace mechanical fasteners and rivets when bonding dissimilar materials like plastics, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), sheet molding compound (SMC), aluminum, steel, coated metal, and wood
  • VERSATILE APPLICATIONS: This single component, moisture-curing sealant allows design flexibility that simplifies panel bonding, metal framework, vehicle flooring attachment, and transportation manufacturing
  • PAINTABLE IN MINUTES: Forms a skin that can be painted on in just 50-60 minutes
  • WEATHER RESISTANT: A distinct ability to withstand the elements allows it to excel in challenging outdoor industrial, transportation, and construction environments between -40 °F (-40 °C) and 194 °F (90 °C)
  • FLEXIBLE BONDS: Mid-range hardness balances tensile strength and elasticity to absorb stress caused by shock, vibration, swelling and shrinking

PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What is 3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 560, White, 400 mL Sausage Pack used for?

This product is a one-component moisture-curing adhesive sealant that can be used to bond and seal a wide range of materials.

  2. Is this adhesive sealant suitable for outdoor use?

Yes! 3M™ Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 560 has excellent weathering resistance and can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications.

  3. How long does it take to cure/dry?

The curing time depends on environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, etc. Generally speaking, the sealant will be tack-free within approximately two hours after application. Full cure generally occurs within seven days.

  4. Do I need any special tools or equipment to apply this adhesive sealant?

Not really – you just need a standard caulking gun (not included). Simply attach the sausage pack to the end of your caulking gun and apply with steady pressure following typical caulk/sealant application practices.

  5. Can I paint over this product once it's fully cured?

.: Yes! Once completely cured (typically after seven days), this polyurethane-based adhesive-sealant can accept most types of paints without affecting its performance/adhesion properties.
