PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What makes the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Film Disc 775L different from other sanding discs?

The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Film Disc 775L stands out due to its cutting-edge technology that provides faster cutting and longer life compared to traditional abrasives.

  2. Why is it linered and die cut?

The film disc being linered helps protect the adhesive backing, making it easy to apply and remove. Being die-cut ensures precise dimensions for consistent performance.

  3. Can you tell me more about the grit level of this disc (80+)?

The grit level of 80+ on this disc means it has a medium-coarse abrasive surface suitable for intermediate sanding tasks where material removal is needed but a finer finish is desired.

Product Description:

Introducing our versatile and durable 3M Discs, designed for a wide range of applications with a primary focus on stock removal. These discs are highly effective on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. With their film backing, they offer superior tear resistance compared to paper discs, ensuring enhanced durability and edge retention. For optimal performance, we recommend using these discs in conjunction with our 3M Elite Random Orbital Sanders.

Our innovative 3M Stikit system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality coated abrasive products come pre-coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the backside, making it as easy as pressing on a sticker to attach them to a disc pad. The pressure-sensitive adhesive allows for effortless removal of the disc from the disc pad, leaving a clean surface for the next disc. To use a Stikit disc, simply press it onto a Stikit backup pad (also known as a disc pad, sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
