3M VHB Tape 5981-040 is a 0.40 mm acrylic foam tape with a PET carrier to provide stability for precise die-cutting of narrow bond lines. The carrier also aids clean removal, making rework easier when necessary. It has great drop resistance and excellent anti-lifting characteristics to help adhere to curved designs along with good conformability and sealing to help keep water out of electronics.
