The Soft Abrasive Mineral for Effective Cleaning and Conditioning

The Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish multi-use sheets are designed to effectively clean, blend, and condition a variety of surfaces including metals, wood, composites, and advanced materials. These sheets are also highly effective for paint preparation.

These versatile sheets find applications in various industries such as cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing. The washable and reusable non-woven, open-web sheet resists loading, ensuring consistent conditioning properties throughout its lifespan.

The convenient 6 x 9 inch sheet can be used by hand for precise control, with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, or on an in-line sander for large area coverage.

Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish Sheets are available with different abrasive minerals such as silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness, is commonly used for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing. Aluminum oxide, on the other hand, is a hard and blocky mineral that provides high cut-rate and long life. While silicon carbide breaks down faster, it produces a finer finish. Talc, a mild abrasive, can be used to achieve a satin finish or combined with polish for a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications.

Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products that combine abrasives with a non-woven fiber matrix. This innovative design ensures consistent results throughout the product's lifespan. The open-web material allows for cool running and is resistant to loading, preventing clogging of the fibers and maintaining high performance cutting of the abrasive minerals.
