This tape is made of a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) double coated medium soft density yellow foam, providing a secure bond between the flexographic photopolymer plate and the print sleeve or steel cylinder, preventing plate edge lifting during printing. Unlike tapes with reinforcement layers, this flexographic plate mounting tape can expand and contract on thin-walled sleeves, reducing the occurrence of air bubbles.

The adhesive on the linered (plate) side of the tape is formulated for mounting photopolymer plates, while the adhesive on the non-linered (sleeve/cylinder) side is designed for mounting to flexographic printing cylinders or sleeves.

Unlike flat or pebbled liners, B-Series liners are crosshatched, creating unique microchannels in the adhesive. These microchannels allow air to flow throughout the adhesive, resulting in virtually bubble-free plate mounting. The setup process is faster with smoother surfaces, leading to cleaner print quality and higher productivity. Additionally, the adhesive maintains tight contact, reducing edge lifting.
