For tape applications requiring resistance to most chemicals used in electroplating and anodizing processes, use our 3M Electroplating Tape 470. This tan, conformable tape features an abrasion resistant backing ideal for use with plating chemicals, anodizing chemicals, milling, etching and peening operations.

  • Resists most common solvents and works at temperatures up to 121°C/250°F

Rugged Reliability

3M Electroplating Tape 470 is specifically designed to withstand the demanding conditions associated with electroplating and anodizing processes. Its flexible vinyl backing allows it to conform to irregular or curved surfaces, ensuring a secure fit. The tape is highly resistant to most common solvents and offers excellent chemical resistance to the substances used in electroplating and anodizing. It can withstand temperatures of up to 170F/76C, making it suitable for use in high-temperature environments. When the job is done, the tape can be easily removed from most surfaces without leaving any residue. Additionally, the backing of the tape is compatible with marker ink and can be printed on using a thermal transfer process, allowing for easy customization when needed.
