  1. Sure! Here are some common questions customers might ask about 3M's Bondo® Wood Filler WF-2PK-ES

How much wood filler comes in each pouch of the 3M Bondo® Ready Mix Pouches?

  2. Each pouch contains 2 ounces of wood filler, providing you with plenty of material to work with for your projects.

Can I purchase the Bondo® Wood Filler in larger quantities than just a pack of 6 cases?

  3. Yes, you can order larger quantities if needed. Feel free to contact our customer service team for assistance with bulk orders.

Is the Bondo® Wood Filler easy to use and apply on different types of wood surfaces?

  4. Absolutely! The ready-to-use formula makes application quick and hassle-free, and it is suitable for various wood surfaces such as furniture, cabinets, trim, and more.

How long does it take for the Bondo® Wood Filler to dry and cure once applied?

  5. The drying time may vary depending on factors like temperature and humidity levels, but typically it dries within an hour or two. Once fully dried and cured, you can sand, paint or stain the surface as needed.

Bondo Wood Filler is a versatile repair material that can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is a permanent solution that can be painted and stained to match any wood surface. The product is now available in pre-measured packets, making the application process hassle-free and ensuring accurate proportions for optimal results. This two-part wood filler forms a strong and water-resistant bond that will not shrink over time. It is also shapeable, allowing for easy customization to fit any repair area. The filler cures quickly, with a sanding time of as little as 15-30 minutes by hand or with power tools. To use the Bondo Wood Filler Ready Mix Pouch, follow these directions:
  1. Clean the surface to be repaired, removing any dirt, wax, oil, and grease. Allow it to dry completely.
  2. Sand the damaged area with 80 grit sandpaper, removing any paint, coatings, and loose or rotted wood. Extend the sanding beyond the damaged area if necessary. After sanding, brush away any dust and wipe the repair area with a Bondo Tack Cloth.
  3. Optional: If you are repairing rotted wood, use Bondo Rotted Wood Restorer first to harden the wood and create a solid base before filling.
  4. Tear the hardener and filler pouches apart along the perforation line.
  5. Knead both the filler and hardener pouches to ensure the components are well mixed and ready for use.
  6. Tear open the filler pouch and use the spreading tool to push the entire contents onto a non-porous mixing surface.
  7. Tear open the hardener pouch and use the spreading tool to push the entire contents onto the mixing surface next to the filler.
  8. Use the spreading tool to mix the hardener and filler components together until you achieve a uniform color. The working time for the mixed product is 3-4 minutes.
  9. Apply an initial thin layer of the mixed filler over the repair area, using firm pressure to ensure maximum adhesion. Add additional layers of filler as needed. Allow the filler to cure for 30 minutes.
  10. Shape the filler to match the surface contour using 80 grit sandpaper. Finish sanding with 180 grit and finer, feathering the repair area.
  11. Follow the paint or stain manufacturer's recommendation to prime, paint, or apply stain to the repaired area. Note that if you are staining, it is recommended to test the product in an inconspicuous area first, as Bondo Wood Filler may absorb stain differently than wood.
For best results, apply the product at temperatures of 45°F (7°C) or above. Clean your tools with acetone or lacquer thinner after use. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call our help line at 1-800-494-3552.
