3M Hookit Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pads have a proprietary feed system that dispenses water for wet sanding of plastics, primer surface, paint, fiberglass and other materials. The water flushes residue off of the sanding disc which keeps it from loading. These firm, yellow disks feature 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment surfaces, and are available in both contoured and bullet shapes.

  • Proprietary center water feed system allows water to flush sanding residue
  • Water flushes the sanding residue and provides longer abrasive life
  • Firm, yellow foam distributes pressure evenly across the abrasive surface
  • Designed for use with 3” x 7/8” Hookit™ Microfinishing film discs or Hookit™ Wetordry™ discs

Easy Hook-and-Loop Attachment

The 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature allows for easy disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment. This feature also facilitates the use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit™ disc pads have J-shaped hooks that are commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. These pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M™ Hookit™ discs and provide a finer finish than adhesive-backed discs. The Hookit™ system is designed for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or water.

Waterproof Advantage

3M™ Wetordry™ products have a proprietary durable waterproof paper backing that supports both wet and dry applications. This paper backing is lighter weight than cloth and smooth rather than textured, making it preferable for lighter applications such as finishing and paint prep. However, many of these applications produce a significant amount of dust, which can clog the abrasive points and create an inferior work environment. To minimize these effects, sanding with water can rinse dust away from the workpiece and the abrasive surface.
