3M™ Finesse-it™ Buffing Pad, in 3- and 5-inch diameters, is a felt pad with a 3M™ Hookit™ attachment for applying 3M™ Finesse-it™ polishes to various types of clearcoats using rotary or random orbital buffers and polishers.

Identifiable by its red and white design, with the 3M wordmark stamped on its backing, the 3M™ Finesse-it™ Buffing Pad comes in both 3- and 5-inch diameters. Achieve best results on a variety of clearcoats using the 3-inch pad when running between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher. The 5-inch buffing pad should run between 3,000 – 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher.
Securely Attached for Better Buffing
This pad is manufactured with the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system for quick pad attachment and removal. Hookit™ buffing pads conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on rotary or random orbital tools, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the life of the pad. Finish results depend on the combination of coating type, polish and tools used.
