Soft Density Foam Responds to Contours and Surface Imperfections

3M™ Stikit™ Soft Disc Pad is designed to respond to contours and surface imperfections with its soft density foam. The pad is equipped with 3M™ proprietary VHB (very high bond) adhesive on the back to ensure a sturdy and secure attachment to 3M™ Finesse-it™ Hand Sanding Pad part numbers 50199 and 70437. The soft density foam reduces edge cuts if the operator tips the pad while sanding.

Vinyl Face for PSA Discs

The 3M™ Stikit™ Soft Disc Pad has a smooth vinyl face that drives small, 1-1/4," 3M™ Stikit™ discs with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backings. The disc can be easily attached to the pad by applying pressure, much like a sticker. The vinyl face of the pad, combined with the PSA backing of the discs, allows for easy removal with minimal residue and convenient disc changes between applications. The PSA to vinyl face attachment is very close, with only the adhesive standing between the pad and the disc. This allows operators to apply hand-held pressure directly to the substrate with few barriers limiting the transfer of power.
