PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What is the Stikit adhesive backing on the 3M™ Stikit™ Paper Disc Roll 210U?

The Stikit adhesive backing allows for quick and easy disc changes, simply press the disc onto a Stikit backup pad attached to your power tool or hand sanding block.

  2. Can these discs be used for wet sanding?

Yes! The tough A-weight paper in our 3M™ Stikit™ Paper Discs hold up when wet-sanding by hand or with an orbital sander.

  3. How many discs come in one case of the 250-count roll size?

There are four rolls per case, each containing 250 individual P220 grit discs. That's a total of 1,000 high-quality abrasive sheets that ensure consistent results every time you use them!

3M™ Stikit™ Paper Disc Roll discs feature an open coat to help reduce loading and deliver for a longer service life. These discs are suitable for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

Designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs, 3M™ Stikit™ Discs are high-quality, coated abrasive products that come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside. This allows them to conveniently press on to the backup pad and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. For best results, we recommend using Stikit discs in conjunction with a 3M™ Stikit™ Disc Pad (also called a Backup Pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, resulting in faster sanding and finishing results.
