  1. What is the 3M Xtract™ Hookit™ Paper Disc 236U?

    The 3M Xtract™ Hookit™ Paper Disc 236U is an abrasive disc made of aluminum oxide paper with a C-weight backing that provides excellent cut and durability.

  2. What is the hook-and-loop attachment system used by this disk?

    The Hookit™ attachment system uses hooks on the back of the disc to attach onto a matching loop material. This allows for easy changeouts and reattachment, without needing extra adhesive.

  3. What applications are suitable for this grade of P400 discs?

    These P400 grit abrasives can be used for featheredging, scuffing, finishing topcoats, sanding body filler and primer off metal or painted surfaces.

  4. How many discs come in each case box?

    There are 50 units per inner packaging (wrapped around thick cardboard) tray, sealed inside plastic bag. And there are total of 5 such trays stacked up vertically in one case box packing containing total of 250 disks.

  5. Can I use these hookup paper discs wet as well as dry?

    Though Hookit technology makes it possible to remove dry sandpapers without leaving debris behind still being coated comparatively less degrees with anti-clogging properties compared our other papers from Wetordry family like - WetordryTM Finesse-itTM TrizactTM Sandpaper Sheets where water could be applied allowing swarf to wash away keeping surface more clean plus extending life span between clogs or failures." However some do achieve good results even using them wet .

The 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding Disc 236U features the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system, which allows for fast and easy disc changes. This means that you can use the disc again and again for the extent of the abrasive life. The strong, C-weight paper backing on our 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding Disc 236U supports aggressive sanding and minimizes edge wear.

These clean sanding discs are excellent for blending and finishing on aluminum and carbon steel, as well as woodworking applications for heavy and medium stock removal and finishing on hardwoods, softwoods, and composites. They also work well on primer, paint, sealers, topcoats, fiberglass, and plastics.

Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn't loading the cutting surface of the abrasives. Reducing dust is easier than ever with 3M clean sanding discs. An open coat means the abrasive grains have space between them so that dust escapes through the spaces rather than loading the cutting edge of the grains. The load resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the disc and hinder sanding ability.

3M's proprietary multi-hole pattern evacuates dust from the disc at a high rate. This hole design doesn't even require alignment of holes with the disc pad (which is attached to a random orbital sander and sold separately), making disc changes quick and simple. The 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system uses a hook and loop design that makes disc changes fast and easy. All of this adds up to improved productivity and reduced material consumption.
