When compared to earlier generations, this disc removes up to 49% more total material than the 3M Cubitron II Flap Disc 969F in 40+ grade, and up to 66% more material than the standard 3M Flap Disc 769F in 40+ grade. These performance improvements make it particularly well-suited for medium to high-pressure grinding operations, including beveling, weld grinding, deburring, and work on complex edges and contours.
The innovative curved-side grain design is engineered to continually fracture into microscopic sharp points during use, allowing the disc to slice cleanly through metal surfaces rather than plowing through the substrate as traditional abrasives do.
