3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Clean Sanding Paper Disc 732U features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast and lasts up to 4x as long as conventional abrasives.
- 3M Xtract™ proprietrary multi-hole pattern provides superior dust extraction to prevent loading, increase productivity, and provide a cleaner work environment
- Revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology provides fast cut and long life
- Cuts up to 2x as fast as conventional abrasives
- Lasts up to 4x as long as conventional abrasives
- Ideal for a wide variety of substrates and applications focused primarily on stock removal
- 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system provides easy disc changes and optimizes disc life

-
Can you provide more information about Die No. 600LG that's assigned to this product?
Yes. It refers specifically to precision die-cutting equipment, which cuts out highly precise pieces that match exact specifications required by certain industries such as metalworking and woodworking. This process assists in maintaining tight tolerances while improving efficiency on production lines for end products that require more specifics than usual or complex shaping at scale-up levels.
These 3M sanding discs are versatile and effective for a wide range of applications, particularly for stock removal. They can be used on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The C-weight paper backing is suitable for sanding applications where edge retention is not a primary requirement. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
A complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs is available for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit™ discs are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs. These sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn't loading the cutting surface of the abrasives. The proprietary multi-hole pattern on Clean Sanding products evacuates dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products. This hole design doesn't require alignment of holes with the disc pad, making disc changes quick and simple. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate dust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. All of this adds up to increased productivity and reduced material consumption. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum (both sold separately).
