3M™ Polyester Film Tape 850 is a high-strength tape that is commonly used for splicing and web applications. The backing is made of a thin, abrasion-resistant polyester that helps to reduce splice failures and withstands rough handling and web processing. The tape is coated with an aggressive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that provides a strong hold upon contact. It meets low-caliper requirements to ensure it won't interfere with most machinery.
