What materials can the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Paper Disc be used on?
The 732U is designed for use on a variety of metals including stainless steel, mild steel, and aerospace alloys.
How long do these discs typically last before needing to be replaced?
This depends on the specific application and usage. However, our Cubitron technology provides longer life compared to traditional abrasives allowing you to work faster with less pressure.
Is there any special equipment required when using these discs?
No special equipment necessary! We offer our paper disc in a wide range of sizes (including yours) so it can fit onto standard hook-and-loop backup pads.
Outstanding Stock Removal on a Range of Substrates
These discs are perfect for a wide range of applications that focus mainly on removing stock. They are highly effective on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The C-weight paper backing is ideal for sanding applications where edge retention is not a primary requirement. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
The Productivity Advantage of 3M™ Stikit™ Discs
The 3M™ Stikit™ system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside. Attaching them to your disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. The adhesive is pressure-sensitive, so the disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit™ disc must be pressed onto a Stikit™ backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
