3M Xtract Cubitron II Film Disc 775L features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology now available to grade 1000+. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or plowing like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast and lasts up to 6x as long as conventional abrasives without compromising finish.

Product Description:

3M offers a range of sanding discs for various applications, including stock removal on metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides additional durability and edge retention, making it ideal for heavy-duty use. For best results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.

3M™ Hookit™ Discs:

3M™ Hookit™ discs are perfect for workspaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are less aggressive than 3M™ Stikit™ discs, leaving finer finishes. Hookit™ sanding discs attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used for the extent of the abrasive life.

3M™ Clean Sanding Discs:

3M's proprietary multi-hole pattern on Clean Sanding products evacuates dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products. The open coat construction allows for better evacuation of dust and other sanding debris, avoiding clogging of the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum (both sold separately).
