What is 3M Cubitron II Hookit Film Disc 775L used for?
The 3M Cubitron II film disc is used in automotive and industrial applications to finalize a finish on clear coat, metal and plastic parts.
How long does the abrasive last?
The abrasive material lasts longer than regular abrasives because it maintains its shape better, so it stays sharper and doesn't wear out as quickly.
Can this be used on wet or dry surfaces?
Both! It’s designed to work effectively on both wet and dry surfaces, making it a versatile option for different types of sanding tasks.
How many discs come in the case?
The case contains 250 hook-and-loop rolls with each roll containing approximately fifty (50) six-inch diameter discs.
These discs are perfect for a wide range of applications, primarily focused on removing stock, and are highly effective on various substrates such as metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides greater tear resistance than paper discs, resulting in additional durability and edge retention. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
3M™ Hookit™ Discs:
A comprehensive range of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs is available for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are frequently used in situations where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs. Hookit™ sanding discs can be conveniently attached to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
