The disc roll is designed to work with a wide range of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel and many other alloys.
-
Can these discs be used for both wet and dry applications?
Yes! These discs are versatile enough to use with water or oil (wet), as well as without fluids (dry).
-
How long can I expect each roll to last before needing to replace it?
That depends on factors such as how often you use them, what kind of jobs you do with them, etc. However, customers have found that they generally last longer than other abrasives- up to twice as much in some cases.
Introducing the versatile 3M discs that are perfect for a wide range of applications, with a primary focus on stock removal. These discs are highly effective on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides greater tear resistance than paper discs, ensuring additional durability and edge retention. For optimal results, pair these discs with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
3M™ Stikit™ System:The 3M™ Stikit™ system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, making it as simple as pressing on a sticker to attach them to your disc pad. The adhesive is pressure-sensitive, allowing the disc to be peeled off of the disc pad effortlessly, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit™ disc must be pressed onto a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
